The NBA season is just over a month away, and it seems like every team has a good player.
But it seems as if a lot of the league’s best players aren’t getting a lot more playing time.
WBBJ’s Tim Boyle breaks down the best players in the NBA, and the best teams and players who will be in the spotlight during the upcoming season.
Blake Griffin and the Brooklyn NetsBlake Griffin will likely be the most talked about player in this year’s NBA playoffs.
His season will likely get a lot better and his playoff success is almost certain.
Griffin is still very young, having just turned 21 on Sunday, and he’s still just entering his prime.
The best part about Griffin is that he has a long way to go.
Griffin has played in just 12 games this season, and while his numbers are still not spectacular, they are much better than they were when he was just 22.
He is still young and still raw, but he has shown a lot this season.
In addition to Griffin, there is a number of other stars who are coming off big seasons and will likely have more playing minutes than Griffin this season and beyond.
Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City ThunderThe reigning MVP has been a major disappointment this season after being the most consistent player in Oklahoma City this season as well as one of the best in the entire NBA.
He’s already on pace to be the highest-paid player in NBA history.
The Thunder are also going to need to play better this season to make it into the playoffs, and Durant has done a great job of helping that happen.
Durant is still just 21 years old, but with his work ethic, his defense and his ability to play at a high level, he has the potential to be one of NBA’s best scorers for a long time to come.
LaMarcus Aldridge and the Portland Trail BlazersLaMarcus Aldriding’s season has been somewhat disappointing so far, as the Blazers have struggled mightily.
Aldridge has yet to lead the team in scoring, but is averaging career highs in points, assists and rebounds.
His production has been inconsistent, and his play hasn’t been great this season either.
Aldrid has been very efficient in the regular season, but this season has not been good enough to earn him a starting spot on the team.
Derrick Rose and the New Orleans Pelicans Derrick Rose has shown the ability to score a lot, but has struggled a bit this season with his defense.
He has shown some improvement in the playoffs as well, but still needs to improve on the defensive side of his game.
Andrew Wiggins and the Minnesota TimberwolvesAndrew Wiggins has been one of Minnesota’s best performers so far this season in the shortened season.
He also has shown flashes of his potential this season though.
Chris Paul and the Los Angeles ClippersChris Paul has shown glimpses of his scoring prowess, as he is averaging double-figure scoring as a team leader.
But he is still far from a superstar, and hasn’t had the best season of his career.
Karl-Anthony Towns and the Chicago BullsKarl-Anthony Townsend has been playing for the Timberwolves, and has shown good flashes of how to be a dominant scorer in the postseason.
Towns has been making his way to the NBA as a point guard, but his play this season hasn’t quite been there.
Chris Bosh and the Miami HeatChris Bosh is still one of this year´s most exciting players.
The former Miami Heat star has shown signs of improvement in his game over the past couple of seasons, and looks to be on the verge of being a legitimate superstar.
LeBron James and the Cleveland CavaliersLeBron James has been the most-improved player in Cleveland this season overall, as his play has improved each and every game.
He looks to have a great shot at being a great point guard for years to come, and that’s what this season is about.
Kevin Love and the Philadelphia 76ersKevin Love has shown promise as a scorer over the last couple of years, and could be a legitimate All-Star candidate come the playoffs.
Love hasn’t played very well this season because of injuries, but the team has improved enough this season that he could get his shot soon.
Kobe Bryant and the LakersThe Los Angeles Lakers have been a very consistent team all season, with Kobe Bryant averaging career-highs in scoring and assists.
But the team hasn’t done too much to help him score, as they have allowed him to shoot poorly and play behind a very poor defense.
Bryant is still a great scorer and defender, and will get plenty of opportunities to play this year, but they have to do a better job of preventing him from being a top-five scorer this season if they want to make the playoffs and get back to the conference finals.
Andrew Bogut and the Denver NuggetsAndrew
