Hacker News article Posted by Hacker News on Monday, August 31, 2020 08:08:24 I got a notification that my newsfeed was loading at the wrong speed.
The default setting was 0.5 seconds per page load.
I tried to turn it off, but it still showed up slow.
I also tried turning it off manually.
But that’s just not enough.
I’m still getting the message that my feed is loading at an incorrect rate.
I checked my local time and it was 8:50 p.m. at the time of this post.
What can I do?
The first thing I did was change the timezone in my Google settings.
Now, I can tell my feed that it’s loading at a different time.
I can also adjust the speed of the load.
You can find your local time in Google settings or by opening your browser.
I used this trick in my article about why you should never click on links in your news feed.
Now that I’ve fixed the issue, I’ve started a new article with the same headline.
